Sheringham Carnival 2007.
Here are some archive photographs of the 2007 Boat Competition.
On Sunday 5 August, Steve Booth and Noel Gant organised Boat races at the Lees Lake sponsored by Sheringham Town Council. It was a most enjoyable afternoon for kids of all ages. Children were asked to make a boat (Blue Peter) style out of paper, sellotape, sticky back paper, etc. These were judged for the best looking one and then raced the width of the pond to lots of screaming encouragement. The other section was a boat constructed out of scrap, plastic coke bottles etc, some fantastic creations were presented for judging.
Winners were; Paper boats Best made resulted in a tie between two little girls in pink,
names not obtained.
